It's been a week since I got back from Seattle and I'm missing that cooler weather like crazy. We can't even go outside without feeling sleepy from heat! {Still love Austin like crazy though}. Aside from the food, one of the things I most loved about Seattle is being able to wear layers. I loving adding a pop of a different color to an outfit. On Sunday we went to brunch and spent the afternoon being tourists. I wore this Striped Ringer Tee Dress comfy striped dress and my khaki jacket to keep me warm. Carried my favorite little backpack purse and sneakers. I love this dress because the fabric is quite substantial and thick which makes it fit so perfectly. It's not too long where it would look frumpy and not so short I would not be able to move. I know I'll be wearing it a lot during fall too. This jacket is one of my favorite purchases as of late. I bought it for my trip to Spain and it has been my go-to layer during all of my summer travels. It's light but keeps you warm on cold airports; order down, it runs big.
I'll talk to you later in the week with more Seattle posts!

Great dress and jacket. I love wearing utility jackets too and this dress is the perfect length to even wear over jeans!
ReplyDeleteI agree! Utility jackets are the best. They keep you warm but are not hot.
DeleteSeattle looks like such a beautiful city! I love your outfit too, makes me even more excited for fall!!

Considering the year seems to be flying by, fall will be here in no time! And yes, Seattle is beyond gorge.
DeleteThe way you styled this dress is flawless! I love it! Horizontal stripes aren't always flattering but this looks amazing on you!
ReplyDeleteThank you Amanda! The stripes are very thin so it doesn't have the widening effect they usually do...thank God! haha
DeleteI love this little striped dress that you paired with the sneakers! It's a perfect Seattle exploring outfit. Very chic. :) :) I love Seattle. I lived there for a couple of years growing up and there's always so much to see and do! I always find myself going back every year becuase I feel, once you've been to Seattle, you'll always go back. There's just something about it! I can't wait to see more of your trip. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteYou lucky girl! I came back to Austin and told my husband that I could totally live there. It reminds me a bit of San Francisco but not as crowded. Loved all of the craftsman style homes. Can't wait to go back!

LOVE how cute but comfortable you still look! What a great combination. I basically have all of these pieces. I'm going to "borrow" your idea one of these days. ;-) - Stephanie | www.theborrowedbabes.com
